Pianist | Performer | Educator

Lisa A. Weiss is a pianist from Quincy, Massachusetts, living in Baltimore, Maryland. She attended Harvard University for her Bachelor of Art in music and Yale School of Music for the Master of Music in piano performance. She holds a Doctorate of Music Arts from Peabody Conservatory and a Masters in Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Lesley University.

 

Weiss has performed at national and international venues including the San Francisco Conservatory, the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center’s Bruno Walter Auditorium, and Carnegie Hall. She received the Todd Distinguished Professorship in 2011 and the Faculty Award for Extraordinary Scholarly Achievement in 2004 from Goucher College. She is a frequent guest commentator on WBJC’s Face the Music with Jonathan Palevsky.
